The faculty of Commerce was established in the year 1964. Since its inception, the faculty has been dedicated to produce commerce graduates and research scholars of high calibre. It runs B.Com, M.Com and Ph.D. programme. The faculty is manned by academically well qualified and experienced faculty members. The faculty members have been consistently involved in publishing books, research articles in reputed journals and participating in the various national and international forums to make them update with the current issues in commerce domain with various benefits to the students. To make our students versatile and employable, the faculty has been conducting guest lectures, industrial visits, personality enrichment programmes and workshops regularly.
The department has a commerce association for the overall development of commerce students conducting speech competition, debate competitions, quiz competitions etc. there is a small library for the knowledge enhancement of commerce students in addition to central library of college. Department also organize the educational tour and visit of various industry for the willing students. We also have an online library in the college which may be assessed by the registered students.
