Student Alumni Interaction (SAI) Program
Started in 2015-16 for an effective network amongst UG/PG students with alumni. So far 5 such events have been held as follows.
SAI 1 – Preeti Sharma, PhD Scholar at Joseph Fourier University, France visited department on Dec 21, 2015 and interacted with the students.
SAI 2 – Tarun Kumar Agarwal, Scientific Officer D, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, MUMBAI,visited department on Jan 01, 2016 and interacted with the students.
SAI 3 – Shubhanshu Chauhan, PhD Scholar,IISER Pune, visited the department on Dec 22, 2016 and interacted with the students.
SAI 4 – Dr. Akshay Bhatnagar, PostDoctoral Fellow, Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics, Sweden, visited the department on Aug 09, 2017 and interacted with the students.
SAI 5 – Parth Vashishtha, PhD Scholar, Victoria University of Wellington, NewZealand, visited the department on Dec 22, 2017 and interacted with the students.
Thursday Student Seminar Series (ThuSS):
During Session 2016-17 another student centred activity was started and it is named Thursday Student Seminar Series (ThuSS). In this, a student has to present a seminar on any topic of his/ her choice with the help of ppt slides, in the presence of teachers and students. The main aim of this event is to improve the presentation skills of students. This was continued during 2017-18 and 2018-19.
