“Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyaan” is a holistic scheme of development of higher education in India, initiated in 2013 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The centrally sponsored scheme aims at providing strategic funding to eligible state higher educational Institutions. The funding would flow from Central Ministry to the state government to aided and Government colleges with the motive to bring Research Innovation and Quality Improvement, Faculty Improvement, to Vocationalisation of Higher Education, to give Infrastructure grants, Institutional restructuring & reforms, to Leadership Development of Educational Administrations, to Capacity building & preparation, data collection & planning.
