The Department of Computer Science in Vardhaman College was established in 2003. The Department offers B. Sc. (Computer Science) programme under self finance scheme, and the number of students’ intake is 60 every year. There are 2 class rooms/lecture halls besides 2 well equipped laboratories. There are 05 faculty members.
The thrust areas of the Department include Computer Networking, Network Security, Wireless Security, Software Engineering, Database, Computer Architecture, Mobile Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Operating System, Data Communication. The major focus of the Department is teaching on Networking, Database and Software Engineering. The Department has 40+ Computers and various licensed softwares including Microsoft Dreamspark MSDN subscription. There is a plan of action to achieve the aims by way of future plans like enhancing its laboratory facilities.
The main objective of the department is to produce good quality technocrats as well as good human beings. The department of computer science is an integral part of Vardhaman College, which is affiliated to MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. Department have well qualified and vibrant faculty members dedicated to work for the betterment of the students. Most of the students passed out are well placed or have opted for higher studies.
